Baja Hwy 1 March 2010

The bridge/road wash-out south of El Rosario, BC, Mexico is still under repair.
Pot holes filled with dirt....what can I say???
Bob & Della is that you?  Lake Chapala is in the background on the left.
Scary!
This wash-out is north of Santa Rosalia.  There is a similar one south of town.

A great restaurant in Mulege, BCS, Mexioc

Our friends, Maria and Meli, standing in front of their restaurant, DONEY in Mulege. They are great hosts and they accomodate our caravans very professionally. The food is excellent. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. We have watched it grow from a small restaurant that served food out of the window to a nice 'sit-down' eating establishment. When you visit Mulege, BCS, Mexico, we highly recommend that you eat at their restaurant.

A great hotel in San Quintin, Baja ,Mexico

Thanks to our fellow Baja travelers Clare & Judy, we have just discovered this great little hotel just south of San Quintin, Baja.  It has all the amenities you could want but still has the quaint feel of Mexico. The rooms are well appointed and CLEAN!  The water pressure is great and the hot water is HOT!

Baja trip Jan. 2010

Jan. 7, 2010. Hwy 3 south of Tecate.  A pretty rough drive since about 20 miles of it is under construction.  It will be great when it is completed.

The rough road did a number on this little Casita trailer's tire.

Start Your Engines

Finally rounded up the necessary road funds and headed south. It wasn't easy saying goodbye to Sara and Lobo for a month but they'll be down for the 4th of July. There's a little swell pouring in and I'm heading out to catch some low tide second point zippers with OT and Mateo and Brittany. Stoked to be back in the enchanted dust bowl that is San Juanico.

I'm having major issues with upload speed. I'll get back to you all with some photos. I'll have to call Starband and see what's up. I hope tech support can help.
