Our journey back to San Juanico

"The LONG and winding road......." The road has been widened in several places south of El Rosario, YIPPEE!!!

Lake Chapala......yes, that is water in it, not a mirage.

My sister, Debbe and I followed John on this trip down. This is on Hwy 1 in San Ignacio. It is still unbelievably GREEN down there!
Debbe helped me drive our 'new' 4 Runner down. She was such a help and we have so much fun on our road-trips. Especially when we can stop and take photos!

Cuesta del Infierno...Hill from Hell, just north of Santa Rosalia.

Bahia de Conceptcion. Santispac beach looks like it did the first time we drove down to Cabo in the late 80's. No houses! Just palapas for shade.

We stopped by our friends place in Mulege to check on it. It is getting cleaned and ready to fix it up, .......again.

The 'vine-that-ate-Mulege' is back! Julio didn't stop it.
Debbe with our friend's flower pot that we retrieved from the lot next door.

Debbe loved the views of the mountains south of Loreto. Sierra de la Gigante.

A 'vaquero' on the road to La Purisima/San Juanico.

'El Porton'

The 'south' road at the La Purisima river, kinda 'dicey', there are big holes where the water is going over it.

One of the wash-outs on the south road, just before where the dirt road meets the new paved road.

The paved road at the river just outside of town. Looks like it might be a while before this one gets fixed.
